Working with Others

Conducted in a fun and highly energised learning atmosphere our Working with Others Workshop takes an experiential approach to applying the skills of Team Working,

Leadership and Communication (TLC).

  • Team Working – making teams work, being an effective team player.
  • Leadership – leading my peers, leadership behaviour, what leaders do, common leadership models, putting leadership into practice.
  • Communication – getting my point across, active listening, presentation skills and the giving and receiving of feedback.

Working in teams throughout the workshop, students experience a mixture of styles and methods such as;

  • inputs from facilitators on key themes
  • practical team based exercises both indoors and outdoors
  • review and reflection to draw out learning points
  • student presentations on their learning and action planning.

Strong links are made for students between this workshop and the lessons learned during the other elements of the Personal Skills Journey, with clear and relevant references to the future world of work. Every student is supported in producing a summary of their strengths and improvement areas as well as identifying actions for their personal and professional development.
